First came the the horns-filled, upbeat anthem, "Miami". Now, Australia's Vaudeville Smash release their second single in 2024, “Something Special” - a smooth nu-disco track blending retro disco and soul with a timeless yacht rock sound.
Inspired by the late 70s and early 80s, “Something Special” offers a fresh take on classic disco. Produced by John Castle (The Bamboos, Megan Washington, and co-producer of Vance Joy’s chart-topping single “Riptide”) and featuring infectious melodies, funky bass lines, "Something Special" lives up to its name and is guaranteed to get listeners grooving.
The new single arrives one month out from their headline show at The Night Cat in Melbourne on Friday 13 September.
Selling out The Night Cat year after year, the band will reveal much-anticipated new music, along with silky smooth hits from their catalog and more. Joining will be special guests and cosmic disco-revivalists, Honey.
Tickets are on sale now via Moshtix.
